Research stays at the Institute
The Institute welcomes visiting scholars from around the world who want to take advantage of its extensive library and networking resources and enhance their independent research projects for a limited period of time.
Visiting scholars are provided with full access to the libraryressources and, subject to availability, a working space in the Institute.
The International Scholar Service of the Humboldt University is available as a point of contact and supports you with all questions relating to a stay as a visiting scholar.
The Institute cannot provide financial support to visiting scholars. External funding may be available from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) or the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Such applications can be supported in individual cases.

- Information on time, duration and content (research project) of the planned stay;
- A curriculum vitae with a list of publications
